Yourself and Death

Yesterday I had two really interesting things happening to me.
While walking to work I was looking at Instagram on my phone, my noise-canceling headphones on. Standing at the light sign to cross the street to the train station I started walking when the light turned green. Thankfully the woman next to me started walking first and jumped back instantly, which I saw out of my peripheral vision. I stopped right when an SUV was running the red light with at least 50km/h.
Later I was sitting in McDonald's (I'm trying to eat healthier, really!) on a big table, with a Mom and her approximately 5-year-old daughter across. The Mother was well dressed, so was the little one. Eating her food trying to hold the fries in one hand and the beverage and sauce in the other she dropped the drink. The lid was on, nothing spilled. Basically just a little kid's accident. Yet her mom went on a rant in German and another language for like 10 minutes. The mom said "how stupid she was" and "how she is embarrassing her mom" and that "the way she handles herself she should've been a cripple" and other really mean things.
Now you are probably asking yourself, "Manu! What has one to do with the other?"
Let me tell you this. Events like the first one show how fast life can be over.
Or how JZAC say it in his song 10 LAWS:
"Doesn't matter, black, white, brown, rich, gay, straight, poor you gonna end up in the ground 'bout six feet down you might live till you one hundred or you might never make it out to see it past your twenties."
And then a lot of people, in the short amount of time they have on this planet, cripple themselves mentally over shit that other people put in their head. It's not your fault other people put it in your thoughts, but it's your responsibility to act accordingly. If you're an adult you are in charge of your life, your thoughts and the people you hang out with. If your dad sucks, nobody forces you to hang out with him. If your coworkers suck, get a different job. If your partner sucks, talk to him or her, or dump 'em.
What I want for you is to be able to not regret life if you'd die at any point. And that starts in your head.
Have a great Sunday!
(Funny side note: The mom later dropped the cup herself ;) )
